CEP-CCIT FTUI reaffirmed its commitment to international quality standards by holding an in-house training session titled “Awareness and Readiness for ISO 27001:2022 Implementation” on September 11. The training was attended by all staff, lecturers, and associates of CEP-CCIT FTUI as a strategic step to strengthen the culture of information security across all service lines.
The event, held at the Engineering Center Building, FTUI New Campus, Depok, featured Mr. Andhika Adityasurya Aryoko, S.T., M.T., from the British Standards Institution (BSI) Group Indonesia as the main speaker. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of information security governance, risk management, and effective strategies for implementing ISO 27001:2022 that align with the needs of modern organizations.
Director of CEP-CCIT FTUI, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suryanegara, S.T., M.Sc., IPU, stated in his opening remarks that digital transformation requires organizations not only to innovate but also to ensure that data security meets global standards. This, he said, reflects CEP-CCIT FTUI’s strong commitment to service excellence.
“Through this in-house training, we aim to build a shared awareness that information security is a collective responsibility. The readiness of all CEP-CCIT FTUI personnel will be key to successfully achieving ISO 27001:2022 certification. By doing so, CCIT’s commitment to maintaining stakeholder trust while strengthening the foundation of service sustainability in the digital era will be backed by standardized operations,” he said.
Chair of the ISO 27001:2022 Team at CEP-CCIT FTUI, Mr. Muhammad Riza Iqbal Latief, S.T., also highlighted the importance of full support from all staff, lecturers, and associates.
“The successful implementation of ISO 27001:2022 cannot be achieved by the core team alone—it requires collaboration from all elements of the organization. The team will periodically request necessary data and work documents to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that will be applied across all CEP-CCIT FTUI services,” he explained.
Meanwhile, CEP-CCIT FTUI’s Quality Management Representative, Mrs. Emma Yulianti, S.T., M.M., noted that having BSI Group Indonesia as the training facilitator provided valuable technical and strategic insights for all participants.
“This in-house training on ISO 27001:2022 requirements serves as an important step in aligning the understanding between all employees and management regarding information security standards. With a unified perspective, CEP-CCIT FTUI will be better prepared to formulate policies, procedures, and documentation needed for the certification process,” she said.
ISO 27001:2022 is an international standard that focuses on the implementation of an information security management system through data protection, risk management, and structured security controls. Applying this standard helps organizations maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information while increasing stakeholder trust.
CEP-CCIT FTUI aims to complete all stages of the implementation process across its service divisions by January 2026, building upon its earlier achievement of obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2016.
With the successful implementation of this training, CEP-CCIT FTUI continues to strengthen its position as an adaptive, visionary institution committed to international quality standards—supporting excellence and competitiveness in the fields of education and information technology services.
