Depok, July 17, 2025 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) continues to strengthen its commitment to ensuring the sustainability of engineering education through the FTUI Endowment Fund program. This initiative serves as a strategic effort to support the implementation of the university’s tridharma—teaching, research, and community service—while also providing scholarships for students in need.
The FTUI Endowment Fund is designed as a long-term, independently managed, and sustainable funding mechanism. This visionary initiative aims to address the challenges of financial independence and educational inclusivity, particularly in cultivating highly skilled and globally competitive engineering talent.
“This Endowment Fund represents the true spirit of collaboration and the long-term commitment of the FTUI academic community to create inclusive and sustainable engineering education,” said Prof. Dr. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of FTUI.
As of July 2025, the FTUI Endowment Fund has successfully raised Rp231,365,000 from various donors, including alumni, faculty members, and FTUI partners. The initial donations were made by Mr. Irfan Ferdiansyah (FTUI ’88) and Mr. Irfan Bachmid (FTUI ’87) with a contribution of Rp50 million. Additional support has come from faculty leaders such as Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, Prof. Yanuar, and Mr. Dalhar Susanto, as well as from the broader FTUI academic community and alumni across generations who continue to participate in this collective effort.
FTUI openly invites its academic community, alumni, industry partners, and the public to take part in this transformative initiative by contributing to the Endowment Fund. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a tangible impact on advancing engineering education in Indonesia—particularly at FTUI.
