The Double Degree Postgraduate Program in Land Transportation, organized by the Ministry of Transportation in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), continues to demonstrate positive progress based on the results of the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) conducted on Tuesday (2/12). The report highlights the academic achievements and scientific publications of students from the 2021 to 2024 cohorts.
In the 2021 cohort, all 20 students successfully graduated with strong academic performance. Not only did they complete their studies on time, but they also actively produced international publications, including 15 publications at QIR 2023 in Bali, as well as additional publications in Malaysia, Thailand, and reputable international journals. This publication productivity reflects a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in transportation and engineering.
The 2022 cohort consists of 10 students, of whom 9 have graduated. This cohort also demonstrated strong performance through scientific publications at the 46th World Conference on Applied Science, Engineering & Technology (WCASET) 2024 in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, one student has not completed their study period due to health conditions and is awaiting further decisions regarding academic completion. In the 2023 cohort, all 10 students have entered the graduation preparation stage and are scheduled to graduate and attend the commencement ceremony in February 2026. They have also successfully published their research at the 48th WCASET 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, reinforcing the consistency of their research quality and academic contributions.
For the 2024 cohort, all 10 students have maintained a Grade Point Average (GPA) above 3.0, which is a graduation requirement. They are currently in the thesis-writing phase, have selected their research topics, and have been assigned supervisors to ensure optimal academic progress. Overall, the Monev results indicate that all cohorts have demonstrated strong academic performance, stable research productivity, and readiness to complete their studies.
Responding to these results, the Vice Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., expressed high appreciation for the students’ achievements and the quality of collaboration between FTUI and the Ministry of Transportation. He stated, “This Double Degree Program is not only about providing advanced education but also about shaping future leaders who are capable of addressing the challenges of the transportation sector. We are proud to see students showing great dedication in both academics and research, and we remain committed to supporting them in producing their best work that will benefit Indonesia.”
With the strong achievements of all cohorts, the program has proven to be a strategic step in enhancing the competencies of human resources in land transportation and strengthening the role of academia in the development of research and national transportation policy.
