DPPU noted that the contribution of UKKPPM to the university’s non-tuition revenue has become increasingly significant, making stronger governance and improved operational performance key institutional priorities.
DPPU also highlighted several challenges currently faced by Special Work Units, including declining project volumes, the impact of government policy changes, and financial reporting issues. To address these challenges, all UKKs were encouraged to improve the quality of their financial reporting, strengthen project cost control, enhance human resource capacity, and adopt more robust accounting systems.
In addition, DPPU emphasized the importance of implementing good governance practices through the development and regular revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), strengthening internal control mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. The university is also preparing new regulations governing the management of Special Work Units and is encouraging the establishment of Supervisory Boards as part of a broader effort to reinforce institutional oversight.
Through this roadshow, FTUI and DPPU UI reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in the management of Special Work Units, with the goal of increasing their contribution to the university’s non-tuition revenue while promoting professional, accountable, and sustainable governance. The event also marked an important first step toward aligning perspectives on the future direction of UKK development across Universitas Indonesia.
