The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (DTSL FTUI) in collaboration with PT MIDASINDO Teknik Utama, held a seminar entitled “Design of Building Structures and Their Foundations”. This seminar was held in a hybrid manner, namely online through the Zoom Meeting platform and offline at GK Building 3rd Floor, FTUI, on Wednesday (26/10/22), 09.00-16.00 WIB.
In the opening of this seminar, it was opened with an offline speech from the Chair of DTSL FTUI, Ayomi Dita Rarasati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., “The collaboration between DTSL FTUI and PT MIDASINDO Teknik Utama has taken place several times. This collaboration is certainly very beneficial, both in terms of structure and non-structure. Thank you very much PT MIDASINDO Teknik Utama, hopefully, this collaboration can continue well.”
Also present to give a speech online, the CEO of PT MIDASINDO Teknik Utama, Dr. Ir. FX Supartono, “The development of architectural science affects the development of technology so that we are required to design buildings that are more effective and efficient, by utilizing sophisticated software. For this reason, FTUI and PT MIDASINDO Teknik Utama entered into a cooperation agreement by providing 200 licensed software to FTUI DTSL students, to support lecture assignments. In addition, this collaboration is also an effort to avoid the use of pirated software in the student environment.”
The Seminar on the Design of Building Structures and Foundations was filled by great speakers in their fields, such as Ir. Sjahril Abdul Rahim, M.Eng., Lecturer at the Universitas Indonesia and Member of TABG DKI Jakarta, explained about “Seismic Analysis and Design of Buildings According to SNI”, Dr.-Ing. Josia Irwan Rastandi, S.T., M.T., Lecturer at the Universitas Indonesia and Member of TABG DKI Jakarta, explained “Behavior of Brick Walls in Building Structures: Between Modeling and Reality”, Dr. Ir. Gouw Tjie-Long, M.Eng., ChFC, Parahyangan Catholic University Lecturer, explained about “A Sample Calculation of Simple Pile Raft Foundation by Midas GTS NX”, Eddie Hong, M.Sc., Global Building & Structure Manager Midas IT Korea “Performance-Based Design”, Ir. Theresia Singgih, M.T., Modeling Specialist of PT MIDASINDO Teknik Utama, explained “Case Study: Performance Based Design Using Midas Gene”.
