FTUI Participates in the Largest and Most Complete Higher Education Exhibition in Indonesia

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) once again participated in the Indonesia International Education Training Expo & Conference (IIETE). At this exhibition, FTUI joined the Universitas Indonesia stand together with other faculties. This exhibition is one of the efforts to achieve Universitas Indonesia’s target to increase the number of applicants to UI for all levels of the Education program. Information on the latest UI education programs, study programs and pathways must be disseminated to the general public, especially prospective UI students.

“Socialization and providing the information is a form of FTUI’s service to the community. In 2023, there have been significant changes regarding the acceptance and entry mechanisms for all PTNs in Indonesia. At the UI itself, changes to the entry path and reception mechanism also change according to existing conditions. This needs to be informed immediately to prospective students and parents to answer their confusion,” said the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, M.Eng., IPU.

More than 60 domestic and foreign universities participated with the number of visitors reaching 30,000 students. Universities that participated in this exhibition came from all levels of education and disciplines, starting from diploma, bachelor, master, doctoral, professional, service, religion, military, and police, to course institutions. Apart from that, the exhibition series was also filled with several supporting programs such as educational talk shows supported by LPDP & the Ministry of Education and Culture, competitions between high school students, sharing sessions, and others.

“IIETE is the largest and most comprehensive higher education exhibition held in Indonesia since 1992. The exhibition aims to provide information to prospective students, especially SMA/SMK/MA students regarding the information on higher education. In 2023, this exhibition will be held on 16 – 19 February at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC),” explained Tikka Anggraeni, M.Sc., Manager of Public Communication and General Administration who oversees the FTUI Public Relations Office.

Every year, educational exhibitions have become an annual agenda which is carried out under the Public Relations and KIP Bureau of the Universitas Indonesia. At this exhibition, FTUI together with the Public Relations Bureau and KIP UI and all faculties actively shared information about all levels and programs within the Universitas Indonesia.
