Two LAM Teknik assessors returned to visit the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) to carry out field assessment activities (23/06). This time, an assessment was carried out for the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Doctoral Program (DTMM) FTUI. The two assessors of LAM Teknik are Dr. eng. Widya Wijayanti, S.T., M.T. from Brawijaya University and Prof. Dr. eng. Ir. Gunawarman, M.T. from Andalas University.
At the opening ceremony of the assessment activities, the two assessors were welcomed by the Vice Deans of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc. In addition, the Head of UPMA FTUI, Managers and Heads of FTUI Units, Heads and Secretaries of Departments and the FTUI Metallurgical and Material Engineering accreditation team were also present. Also attending online, the Head of BPMA UI, Prof. Sri Hartati D. Reksodiputro, Ph.D.
In his speech, Prof. Yanuar said, “Hopefully the assessment process for the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Doctoral Study program can run smoothly and get good results. Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Study Program is a unique study program and rarely found in Indonesia. DTMM FTUI is also a reference study program for other universities who want to open the study program in Indonesia.”
In his presentation, Prof. Yanuar also introduced the leadership of the FTUI Dean and the team from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department of FTUI who were also present.
“This is our first assignment to visit FTUI for study program accreditation. Part of the accreditation of study programs begins with an introduction to the leadership as a unit above UPPS. Although the data and documents will be in UPPS later. On this occasion, I focus more on questions related to the future development of FTUI, especially from the faculty, department and unit/study program level,” said Prof. Gunawarman.
Dr. Eng. Widya said, “Please cooperate in this assessment process so that we can obtain complete data, documents and information. I believe all of this exists, but our access to that data is still limited.”
The field assessment process for the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Doctoral Study Program itself has been carried out on 23-24 June 2022.
