The UI Faculty of Engineering is again holding a biennial international conference, the 18th International Conference on Quality in Research (QiR) 2023 with the theme “Navigating the Pathway to Achieve Net Zero Emissions through Green Technologies and Policies”.
Over time, society needs to make a lifestyle shift towards sustainable development and improvement of living conditions on a local and global scale. However, changes in health and demographics, food security, quality education for all, safe and clean water, green and efficient energy sources, climate change, and a safe society are often challenges in it.
To answer these challenges, it is necessary to involve universities in national and global development to produce advanced technology, create innovative processes and products, and be able to provide services to the public, businesses and organizations. The main objective of the QiR 2023 international conference is to open a world discussion on the role of technology and policy as a means to achieve Net Zero Emissions, especially in the Indonesian context.
This conference will be held on 23-25 October 2023 in Bali, Indonesia with seven symposiums:
- International Symposium on Civil and Environmental Engineering Research (IS-CEER)
- International Symposium on Advances in Mechanical and Maritime Engineering (IS-AMME)
- International Symposium on Chemical, Health, and Biological Engineering (IS-CHBE)
- International Symposium on Architecture and Sustainable Built Environment (IS-ASBE)
- International Symposium on Electrical and Computer Engineering (IS-ECE)
- International Symposium on Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (IS-MME)
- International Symposium on Industrial and Systems Engineering (IS-ISE)
Implementation of the QiR 2023 international conference in conjunction with four other conferences, namely the 8th International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE), 7th International Tropical Renewable Energy Conference (ITREC), 4th International Conference on Smart City Innovation (ICSCI), and 3rd CAIC-SIUD International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Urban Development (CAIC-SIUD).
Currently, QiR 2023 is open to submit scientific papers until June 20, 2023, on the page https://submit-manuscript.org/conference/qir-2023. Accepted scientific papers will then be announced on August 1 2023. All accepted and presented scientific papers will later be published in one of the Scopus-indexed journals or proceedings (additional fees may apply), namely the International Technology Journal (Jurnal Q2, H- index 17), IEEE Proceedings (H-index 296), and AIP Process (H-index 75).
Initial registration will be open until August 15 2023, while the QiR 2023 registration fee can be seen on the https://qir.eng.ui.ac.id/registration-fee/ page. With the holding of QiR 2023, it is hoped that there will be an effective collaboration between many institutions, institutions and organizations from various countries through discussion rooms to answer challenges related to life and the environment in the 21st century, the role of technology and policies in dealing with these challenges.
