The editorial team and partners of the International Journal of Technology (IJTech), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), held a capacity-building event on May 17–18, 2025, in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara. The activity aimed to enhance the academic and professional capacities of lecturers and researchers involved in managing a reputable scientific journal.
The two-day event was attended by FTUI lecturers and researchers who are part of the IJTech editorial team and its partners. The program included a welcoming gathering and exploration of tourist sites in Labuan Bajo. Editor-in-Chief of IJTech, Prof. Dr. Yudan Whulanza, S.T., M.Sc., stated, “The core purpose of this activity is to strengthen the camaraderie and unity of the IJTech community so that we can further enhance the academic and professional performance of our lecturers and researchers.”
Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation and support for the event. “This capacity-building event not only strengthens the ties within the IJTech community but also serves as a strategic platform to align our vision and mission in advancing FTUI’s research excellence. Through this shared experience, we hope IJTech will continue to grow as a strong platform for internationally reputable scientific publication.”
The International Journal of Technology (IJTech) is an international scientific journal published by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. IJTech focuses its publications on the fields of engineering and technology with a multidisciplinary approach. The journal serves as a forum for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate innovative and practical research findings. IJTech is indexed in various reputable international databases, such as Scopus, and remains committed to maintaining high standards in scientific publication.
With the inspiring and collaborative atmosphere of Labuan Bajo, this activity is expected to strengthen academic networks and improve the quality of scientific publications produced by FTUI academics.
