The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) has again proven the quality of its education by obtaining superior accreditation at the national level for two postgraduate study programs. “Earlier this year, five undergraduate study programs received international recognition through the achievement of IABEE accreditation. At the end of April, the good news was that FTUI was again obtained through the achievement of Superior accreditation for the Chemical Engineering Master’s Degree Study Program from LAM Engineering and the Chemical Engineering Doctoral Program from BAN-PT. This accreditation is a form of FTUI’s commitment in providing quality education to the Indonesian people,” said the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU.
The Chemical Engineering Master’s Program obtained national accreditation from the Independent Engineering Accreditation Institute (LAM TEKNIK). Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM) for Engineering is an independent accreditation agency tasked with carrying out the accreditation process for engineering study programs in Indonesia. Superior Accreditation is also obtained by the Chemical Engineering doctoral program from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) which is an accreditation body under the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia.
The assessment of the FTUI competencies is based on nine main criteria, namely 1) vision, mission, goals, and strategies, 2) governance, governance, and cooperation, 3) students, 4) human resources, 5) finance, facilities, and infrastructure, 6) education, 7) research, 8) community service, 9) outcomes and achievements of Tridharma. With this accreditation given, FTUI will continue to be committed to providing the best education to its academics, bringing positive impacts to society, and making FTUI an excellent faculty in the field of engineering.
