To carry out the modernization and internationalisation of education, Universitas Indonesia (UI) continues to expand its collaboration with various international educational institutions. This cooperation includes student and lecturer exchanges, programmes related to research, and other activities that support the activities of both parties.
This time, the Faculty of Engineering (FT) at Universitas Indonesia (UI) collaborated with the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Bangladesh. The signing of the MoU between UI and IUT was carried out by the Rector of Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., and the Vice Chancellor of IUT Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam conveyed that the warm welcome given by FTUI was very impressive. We feel that with FTUI, there will be many things that can be collaborated on to increase resources, in this case, students and lecturers, to be able to compete on the world stage.
IUT Bangladesh is optimistic that, in cooperation, they can carry out a double degree collaboration programme with FTUI, such as an academic exchange programme, both for students as well as lecturers and researchers. “We also have a visiting scholar funding scheme that includes stipends and ticket costs,” said Prof. Dr. Mohammad during the visit, which was held on Friday (14/7) in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd floor of the FTUI Dean’s Building.
The visit from the IUT delegation was represented by the Vice Chancellor of IUT, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam; the Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Omar Jah; and the IUT Professor, Prof. Dr. K. Hondokar Habibul Kahir. The FTUI delegation was led by the FTUI Dean, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., with Dr. Nyoman Suwartha, S.T., M.T., M.Agr., Education Manager; Dr. Ing. Ir.
