On July 17 1964, dr. Syarief Thayeb issued Chancellor’s Decree No. 76 regarding the Faculty of Engineering establishment with the first three departments, namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering (now Electrical Engineering).
