Following the Zona Integritas evaluation on Monday (August 12), the Diktiristek Jury Team and the University of Indonesia’s TREM Team (TREM UI) visited the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI), on Monday (August 19). This visit aimed to review various initiatives undertaken by FTUI to implement Zona Integritas.
“Through this visit, we hope you can see FTUI’s strengths, including our innovations in research showcased in the i-CELL exhibition room. Specifically, we have established a new unit to accommodate this, the Innovation Entrepreneurship Unit, the first unit at the University of Indonesia focused on entrepreneurship and innovation development,” said Prof. Mahmud in his opening remarks.
Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Acting Dean and Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, also mentioned that FTUI has built a new building, IDE, as a new advantage for the faculty. This building houses a new department at FTUI, the Department of Interdisciplinary Engineering. He noted that the future of engineering cannot be addressed by a single discipline, which led to the establishment of this new department.
“This year marks the second year we have collaborated with TREM UI in conducting Zona Integritas assessments at FTUI. We have observed significant changes at FTUI, with a positive impact from the implementation of Zona Integritas,” said Dr. Vishnu Juwono, S.E., MIA, Head of TREM UI. He also expressed his hope that FTUI could win the Zona Integritas competition. According to him, FTUI’s strengths could be applied to other faculties at UI. Vishnu also hopes FTUI can achieve WBK and WBBM status at the national level.
The event continued with visits to several locations within FTUI. Starting with a visit to the Faculty Administration Center, the Diktiristek Jury Team and TREM UI Team conducted a review of the services provided. At the i-CELL Building, Dr. Muhamad Sahlan, S.Si., M.Eng., Head of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit, explained several innovative products to the jury team. The visit concluded with a tour of the IDE Building.
