DIRBT 2025 Roadshow: Embracing Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Universitas Indonesia

Universitas Indonesia, through the Directorate of High Impact Research and Innovation (DIRBT), held the DIRBT 2025 Roadshow on Thursday (april 17) at the Smart Meeting Room, Dean Building, as a platform to socialize the Grant Program PPI P1, P2, P3 and the UI Incubate 2025 business incubation program.

The roadshow featured presentations by Dr. Prasandhya Astagiri Yusuf, Head of the High Impact Research Subdirectorate, who explained the 2025 Innovation Funding Program, and Gogor Ariyo Wisnu Pradono, MBA, Head of the Business Incubator and Venture Building Subdirectorate, who introduced the UI Incubate 2025 program.

UI Incubate consists of two tracks: Problem-Solution Fit (PSF), which aims to validate business ideas and develop a minimum viable product (MVP), and Product-Market Fit (PMF), which focuses on refining the MVP into an industry-ready prototype ready for market testing. Participants will have the opportunity to receive funding of up to IDR 500 million, along with incubation support including mentoring, bootcamps, business legal assistance, and access to investors.

The program selection process involves 16 stages, starting with individual registration, administrative selection, psychological tests, team formation, pitching sessions, Demo Day, and the UI Innovation Festival. Registration is conducted online through the VINOV Discovery platform and is open to the UI academic community and the general public.

This roadshow also serves as part of UI’s internal and external outreach strategy, fostering collaborations with various national incubators and venture capital partners to strengthen the campus innovation ecosystem.

“The DIRBT 2025 Roadshow is a tangible demonstration of Universitas Indonesia’s commitment to cultivating a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the campus environment. Through programs such as UI Incubate and the PPI Grant, we encourage our academic community not only to excel in research but also to develop impactful real-world solutions for society and industry,” said Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.
