Six FTUI Lecturers Receive the 2025 Priority Research Downstreaming Grant

Six lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) have once again achieved remarkable accomplishments in the field of research and innovation. A total of six FTUI lecturers were awarded the 2025 Priority Research Downstreaming Grant through the SINERGI and Industry Collaboration schemes. This grant aims to promote strategic research collaborations between universities and industries to support the downstreaming of research outcomes for sustainable development.

The grant recipients are as follows:

  • Dr. Miktha Farid Alkadri, S.Ars., M.Ars. with the research project “PhaseBloc: Innovative Glass Block with Phase Changing Material to Enhance Thermal Comfort and Energy Efficiency” (SINERGI Scheme).
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Gandjar Kiswanto, M.Eng. with the project “Development of Lightweight 3D Printing Mortar and Robot Vision System to Enhance Productivity of 3D Construction Printing (3DCP) Machines” (Industry Collaboration Scheme).
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU. with the research “TaLis-Powered CoolBox: Solar-Powered Portable Cooler to Improve Fishermen’s Catch Quality” (SINERGI Scheme).
  • Dr. Eng. Radon Dhelika, B.Eng., M.Eng. with the research “IoT Module for CoolBox Accessories Integrated with Electric Motorcycles” (Industry Collaboration Scheme).
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Feri Yusivar, M.Eng. with the research “VCU for Multipurpose Electric Motorcycles” (Industry Collaboration Scheme).
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Riri Fitri Sari, M.M., M.Sc. with the research “AI Agent for Web3-Based MSME Social Commerce Platform to Drive 8% Economic Growth” (Industry Collaboration Scheme).

This achievement underscores FTUI’s vital role in strengthening the national research ecosystem capable of addressing real-world challenges faced by society and industry. The research themes pursued by FTUI lecturers not only focus on cutting-edge technological innovations such as AI, IoT, and 3D printing but also emphasize practical, solution-oriented applications that have direct impacts on sectors such as energy, transportation, construction, and MSME empowerment.

The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for this milestone:

“The success of FTUI lecturers in obtaining the Priority Research Downstreaming Grant demonstrates FTUI’s capacity as a leading center of engineering research excellence in Indonesia. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and industry involvement, these research outcomes are expected to contribute tangibly to national development and enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness on the global stage.”
