The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), once again organized the Engineering Career and Internship Fair (ECIF) 2024, an annual career and scholarship fair hosted by the Career Development Center (CDC) FTUI. ECIF 2024 took place from August 26–27, 2024, in a hybrid format, combining a physical exhibition at FTUI’s Rotunda Park with a virtual exhibition on the platform ecif.eng.ui.ac.id, which was open from August 19 to September 19, 2024.
Featuring 23 prominent national and multinational companies and institutions, ECIF 2024 provided a platform for FTUI students and alumni to explore career, internship, and scholarship opportunities. Among the participants were both national and multinational companies and scholarship institutions, including PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk, PT CIBA VISION Batam, Paragon Corp, PT Sayap Mas Utama (WINGS Group), PT SUCOFINDO, PT ABB Sakti Industri, PT Huawei Tech Investment, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, PT Astra Honda Motor, Contact Taiwan, Human Resocia Co., Ltd., PT Badak NGL, and Campus France.
Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU, stated, “ECIF is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to prepare students and alumni for a competitive job market. Through this event, we provide access to top career opportunities and connect students with leading companies, both nationally and internationally. The organization of ECIF also reflects our efforts to support the career development of our students and alumni.”
Esther Silitonga, Human Resources Business Partner at PT Ciba Vision Batam (Alcon), shared her thoughts on the Engineering Network and ECIF 2024 events, “The enthusiasm at the Engineering Network and ECIF events has been incredible. Specifically, at ECIF, many students and alumni were eager to learn about the various career opportunities at PT Ciba Vision Batam (Alcon). We hope that these events will broaden the scope of cooperation between PT Ciba Vision Batam (Alcon) and FTUI.”
With its hybrid format, ECIF 2024 provided broader access to participants both physically and virtually. The physical exhibition was held at FTUI’s Rotunda Park on August 26–27, 2024, while the virtual exhibition was accessible through a dedicated channel that had been open since August 19. This format allowed students and alumni to stay connected with the industry despite any distance or time limitations.
ECIF 2024 was part of FTUI’s efforts to prepare its students and graduates to face an increasingly competitive job market. The event not only offered information on job and internship vacancies but also served as a platform for companies to discover top talents from FTUI.
FTUI hopes that through ECIF, students and alumni can take advantage of the career opportunities available while participating companies can find outstanding talents who can contribute to the future development of the industry.
