FTUI was represented by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., and Spentera by its President Director, Royke L. Tobing.
PT Spentera is a company specializing in cybersecurity. It assists clients in identifying and managing cybersecurity risks through services such as security assessments, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security testing for compliance, intrusion analysis, incident response, and digital forensics.
In his speech, Prof. Yanuar stated, “This cooperation is a strategic step for both parties, recognizing the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in addressing challenges in the digital era. At the Faculty of Engineering, we are committed to preparing our students to contribute to the increasingly critical field of cybersecurity. With support from PT Spentera, we are confident that the internships and training programs to be held will provide invaluable experience for our students. This is an opportunity for them to learn directly from professionals in the industry, which in turn will enrich their competence and insights.”
Royke L. Tobing also shared his thoughts, saying, “There are many things we can accomplish together. Hopefully, this partnership will yield positive results. We are pleased to assist in providing cybersecurity lessons to academics at FTUI.”
Also attending from FTUI was the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Salman, S.T., M.I.T., and Manager of Partnerships, Ventures, and Alumni, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto. PT Spentera was represented by its Chief Technology Officer, Thomas Gregory; Chief Operating Officer, Mar’ie Muhammad; Senior Manager of Spentera Group, Yulaen Indri; Manager of Spentera Group, Isriani Mira; and Account Executive of Spentera Group, Faisal Ariyanto.
In a separate statement, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, also shared his hopes, “We hope that through this cooperation, various research and innovations will emerge that benefit not only both parties but also the broader community. We believe that synergy between academics and practitioners will lead to relevant and practical solutions to existing challenges.”
