The FIAUI delegation included Dr. Umanto, M.Si., Secretary of Leadership; David Sanjaya, S.Sos., Coordinator of Public Relations and Cooperation; and staff members Sri Wahyuni, S.Sos., and Harnum Setiasih Bintang, S.Si. The purpose of the visit was a comparative study to learn about the establishment and management of a CDC unit at FTUI.
This comparative study stemmed from FIAUI’s intention to establish its own CDC unit, as alumni relations and recruitment at FIAUI are currently handled by individual departments due to the lack of a dedicated unit. Presently, alumni relations at FIAUI fall under the Public Relations Unit, with a primary focus on graduate database management.
In her presentation, Rosmalita explained that CDC FTUI is the first CDC unit at Universitas Indonesia. It operates under the coordination of FTUI’s Cooperation, Ventures, and Alumni Unit, providing industry and stakeholder partners access to FTUI graduates and CDC FTUI members for job and internship postings, as well as offering career development and soft skill enhancement services to FTUI students and alumni.
Dalhar Susanto added, “CDC FTUI operates based on the needs of partners who seek FTUI students or graduates. Typically, these needs arise directly from companies, or from companies that already have partnerships with FTUI and wish to establish new recruitment collaborations. Throughout this process, we also coordinate with department and unit heads.”
In a separate meeting, FTUI Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, commented, “FIAUI’s comparative study visit to FTUI for the establishment of a Career Development Center (CDC) demonstrates a shared commitment to enhancing career services for students. With a CDC in place, we aim to facilitate skill development and career readiness for students entering the workforce. May this collaboration inspire a stronger synergy between faculties, bringing broader benefits to students across Universitas Indonesia.”
