To welcome the 58th FTUI Anniversary, the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of the UI Faculty of Engineering held an offline reunion with the title Engineering Hurray themed Let’s Meet Again (06/25). The event, which was the first offline grand reunion event after the pandemic, started in the morning with activities from the FTUI Iluni sports communities, including running, bicycles, basketball, soccer, table tennis, futsal, archery, golf driving, and mini golf.
By noon, the alumni of FTUI had come and gathered on the stage of the Hurray Engineering held at the FTUI Rotunda to witness the main series of events. The Technical Hooray stage was filled with various interesting performances and presentations from Dancing Engineer, Nanta & Fam Band, Yoiko Bros Band, and Band from ILUNI. Hooray Technique was also enlivened by games and door prizes.
“The Hurray Technique is the first offline gathering held by ILUNI at FTUI. The reason why the Hurricane Technique was held is that we have a sense of wanting to meet again after being confined for a long time due to the pandemic, of course, by continuing to implement health protocols, “explained Gerry Lineker in his speech as Chair of the Hooray Engineering event committee.
Delivering a pre-recorded speech, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU delivered a short speech containing his hopes for ILUNI FTUI, “The UI Faculty of Engineering has entered its 58th year on 17 July. This means that there are already many alumni of the UI Faculty of Engineering who have graduated and spread across this earth. Alumni of the UI Faculty of Engineering are alumni who excel and have a good impact on themselves, their environment, their campus, this country, and the engineering civilization in this world. I hope that the alumni of the UI Faculty of Engineering are always successful wherever you are.”
In the tumult of the stage event, Ir. H. Imam Budi Hartono (Deputy Head of Depok Mayor), Andre Rahadian (Chairman of ILUNI UI), and Nanang Sugianto (Chairman of ILUNI FTUI). As the stage for the event was filled with excitement, Teknik Hurray also became a stage for FTUI alumni to express their longing for the days when they were still students.
Hopefully, ILUNI UI can continue to build friendships and continue to prosper, by FTUI’s slogans which are always sung with the same spirit, the Most Glorious Technique!
