FTUI Class of 1984 Alumni Support the Development of a Smart Classroom at FTUI

As a form of support and contribution from alumni to their alma mater, the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) Class of 1984 alumni signed a commitment to cooperate for the establishment of a smart classroom at FTUI. The signing was carried out by Ir. Herlambang, Chairman of the FTUI Class of 1984 40th Anniversary Event, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, Dean of FTUI.

During the event, both parties committed to collaborating on the procurement of a smart classroom equipped with the latest facilities and technology to support a more interactive and modern learning process. This signing also marked the beginning of drafting a more detailed cooperation agreement regarding the specifications and costs of constructing the smart classroom.

Prof. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, mentioned that this initiative is highly appreciated by the faculty. “With the support of our alumni, FTUI is optimistic that it can continue to progress and innovate in producing the best graduates who are ready to contribute to the nation’s development. We hope this step can inspire other classes to also contribute to the development of FTUI,” he said.

“As part of the FTUI family, we feel honoured to contribute to this initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of education and the learning experience for students. The construction of this Smart Classroom is a crucial step in preparing future generations to face an increasingly complex and technology-based world. We hope that, through this modern facility, FTUI students will be more motivated to innovate and grow, and be ready to become reliable and competent future leaders,” said Ir. Herlambang.

FTUI continues to strive to improve educational facilities and infrastructure to provide the best learning experience for its students. With the establishment of this smart classroom, it is expected that the learning process can take place more effectively and efficiently, and be able to meet the educational needs in this increasingly digital era.

The signing took place on July 17, 2024, coinciding with the 60th Anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia (FTUI). This celebration serves as a moment for reflection and evaluation, as well as proof of the strong bond between alumni and FTUI and their shared commitment to continuously support the advancement of education at FTUI.
