From December 7 to 9, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Indonesia (FTUI) held an Annual Report Consigning event at Mason Pine Hotel, Bandung. This activity, attended by the leaders and educational staff of the Faculty, aimed to compile and document all the developments and achievements that FTUI accomplished throughout the year 2023.
In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., the Dean of FTUI, expressed, “This year, the Faculty of Engineering UI has once again been recognized as the best Engineering campus according to THE World University Ranking 2024. I would like to thank all of you because this achievement can be realized, among other things, thanks to the hard work of the educational staff. In connection with this, at the end of this year, we gather to document these efforts in the form of a written report. Because, in essence, history exists when it is written, and this report will also become a legacy for the next generation.”
Building on this achievement, Prof. Heri highlighted some of the future development plans for FTUI. One of the main focuses is the formation of three new units, namely the International Office, Logistics Office, and Internal Audit Unit. In addition, FTUI also plans to open an Interdisciplinary Department that will serve as a platform for multidisciplinary education programs. He expressed that these plans are expected to strengthen FTUI’s management infrastructure and provide solutions to the rapid development of increasingly complex science and technology.
Every year, FTUI compiles an annual report that not only covers developments and achievements but also serves as an instrument for evaluation and improvement. This report is not only a form of the institution’s responsibility for the maintenance and development of academic quality but also part of FTUI’s efforts to maintain standards of excellence as one of the best universities in Indonesia.
