The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), in collaboration with PT PLN (Persero), conducted a monitoring meeting for their educational partnership program to evaluate students’ academic progress and ensure the sustainability of the program. During the meeting, it was conveyed that in 2026 PT PLN plans to once again send students under the cooperation scheme, although in a smaller number compared to the previous year. From the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the Head of Department, Ayomi Dita Rarasati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., stated that the teaching and learning process has been running intensively with strong academic achievements, although several courses in the early semesters were quite challenging.
The Secretary of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Ir. Mochamad Adhiraga Pratama, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., added that the students’ commitment and participation in the learning process have been very good, including during the implementation of online classes.
The Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Dr.Eng. Arief Udhiarto, S.T., M.T., IPU., reported that the partnership program has entered its second batch with excellent academic outcomes, with the students’ average GPA in the cum laude category.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Bambang Heru Susanto, S.T., M.T., explained that the program has reached its fourth batch, with a strengthened focus on aligning students’ research topics with industry needs as well as supporting scientific publications.
In closing, Dr. Muhamad Sahlan, S.Si., M.Eng., expressed his appreciation and gratitude to PT PLN for the well-established collaboration.
“We highly appreciate and thank PT PLN (Persero) for the excellent cooperation that has been in place. Overall, the students’ progress shows positive results. We hope that in the second semester, students will be able to focus more on their research topics and fulfill one of the main requirements, namely producing scientific publications,” said Dr. Sahlan.
Through this monitoring activity, FTUI and PT PLN (Persero) reaffirmed their shared commitment to producing high-quality human resources that are relevant to national industry needs and to supporting the strengthening of Indonesia’s energy sector.
