Veritas Technologia, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), and PT United Tractors Tbk held Phase 70: Colloquium of the Expert Technical Paper Program, marking the culmination of a series of activities that have taken place since December 2024. The event was conducted in a hybrid format at the Interdisciplinary Engineering (IDE) Building, FTUI Campus, Depok (18/09). The main objective of the colloquium was to facilitate academic discussion and expert evaluation of manuscripts, providing participants with constructive feedback to enhance the quality of their papers.
The event was opened by Ahmad Anwari, S.T., M.T., Rector of United Tractors Corporate University, and Dr. Miktha Farid Alkadri, S.Ars., M.Ars., Secretary of the FTUI Unit for Planning, Performance Monitoring, and Education Modernization. Ahmad Anwari emphasized the importance of academic–industry synergy, particularly in research, noting that Universitas Indonesia is one of the country’s leading educational institutions. Meanwhile, Dr. Miktha highlighted the importance of continuity in this program, stating,
“We hope that what we have collaborated on can serve as a foundation for developing skills and knowledge, as well as a basis for broader cooperation in the future.”
Participants in the colloquium were those who had previously completed Phase 10: Workshop on Effective Technical Paper Writing Strategies and Phase 20: Publication Mentoring. In this final phase, participants presented their mentored manuscripts before a panel of experts from FTUI and PT United Tractors. Each presentation lasted 15 minutes—10 minutes for delivery and 5 minutes for a Q&A session. The panel evaluated the manuscripts based on substance, structure accuracy, and quality of presentation.
The event concluded with remarks from Mochamad Hamdan Aziz, Team Leader of Expert Management at United Tractors, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs at FTUI. Hamdan Aziz stated that the colloquium served not only as a forum for manuscript evaluation but also as a platform for knowledge sharing and professional networking, which he hoped would contribute positively to the development of United Tractors’ products and services, particularly in the heavy equipment sector.
Prof. Yanuar added,
“Through this colloquium, we hope each manuscript can achieve a verified quality standard and be worthy of publication. The results will serve as both a knowledge repository and a valuable contribution from experts in their respective fields.”
As a form of recognition, the Best Presenter Award was given to Deni Cahyono and Aldyn Hamdan Z for the quality of their manuscripts and presentations. With the completion of Phase 70: Colloquium, all presented manuscripts will be verified and compiled into a book—serving as both a documentation of knowledge and tangible evidence of expert contributions to the advancement of technical disciplines.
FTUI Dean Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the continued collaboration between the two institutions.
“FTUI is always committed to bridging academia and industry. Through programs such as the Expert Technical Paper, we aim to produce scientific works that are not only academically rigorous but also relevant and applicable to real-world challenges,” he said.
With the successful implementation of Phase 70: Colloquium, FTUI and PT United Tractors reaffirm their commitment to building sustainable synergy between academia and industry—fostering innovation and developing high-caliber human resources ready to face global challenges.
