The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., symbolically handed over sports shoes to representatives of the FTUI contingent for the 75th UI Anniversary Competition. This handover serves as a token of appreciation to the Coordinators and all members of the FTUI Competition Contingent for their enthusiasm, dedication, and outstanding contributions in celebrating UI’s 75th Anniversary. The event occurred on Monday (24/2) at the Senate Room, FTUI Dean’s Building, and was attended by the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, and the Manager of Public Communication and General Administration, Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR.
FTUI’s participation in this year’s UI Anniversary competition involved 58 contingent members from faculty members, administrative staff, and students, competing in five categories: Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Pickleball, and Tumpeng Decoration Competition. The achievements included winning 2nd place in Tennis and 3rd place in Table Tennis. The five representatives who received the shoes were Narisha Nur Syahrani, Ita Repelita, Zulfahmi Fajri, Eko Anjang Budi Prihantoro, and Affandi.
“FTUI’s participation in the 75th UI Anniversary competition is not just about competing, but also about fostering a spirit of togetherness, sportsmanship, and solidarity among the academic community. Through this event, I hope all FTUI contingent members demonstrate great dedication and fighting spirit while strengthening ties between faculties. Let us use this opportunity to achieve success and reinforce our pride as part of the Universitas Indonesia family,” said Prof. Kemas.
Aryadi, the contingent coordinator, presented a report on the competitions the FTUI contingent participated in. According to him, Pickleball was a newly introduced competition at UI, and the FTUI contingent had no prior experience in the sport. Eko Anjang, appointed as the coordinator for the Pickleball competition, made every effort to find and train talents, though success was yet to be achieved. Fortunately, in other sports, the FTUI contingent managed to secure achievements.
