Since 2014, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) has been the only faculty that has distributed certificates and grade transcripts on time at graduation. At the 2022/2023 Odd Semester graduation, FTUI again distributed certificates and grade transcripts to 430 graduates. The distribution of certificates was carried out by the academic team under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Dr. Nyoman Suwartha, S.T., M.T., M.Agr., FTUI Education Manager.
“The timely distribution of certificates and grade transcripts is proof of FTUI’s commitment to providing excellent service to its graduates at the end of their study period. This is also an embodiment of ISO 9001:2015 as a guarantee for the quality of administrative and academic services at the Faculty Administration Center, Departments and Work Units within FTUI,” said the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU.
“We managed to complete the distribution of certificates and transcripts to almost all graduates on time, this is because there are still around 6% of graduates whose PINs are still being processed at the Directorate of Higher Education. This is an achievement in itself, considering that diplomas must include the National Diploma Numbering (PIN) according to the Regulation of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Number 59 of 2018 concerning the Use of National Diploma Numbering (PIN) and the Electronic Diploma Verification System (SIVIL), said Prof. Yanuar related to the challenges faced by FTUI when preparing diplomas and transcripts for graduates this semester’s grades.
The PIN is a process of numbering diplomas using a system to produce diploma numbers issued by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and is valid nationally. The PIN is also directly registered in the Higher Education Database (PDPT). The PIN will be given when students complete the lecture process at a university. The number issued is called the National Diploma Number which consists of 15-digit numbers in the form of a 5-digit study program code, a 4-digit year of graduation, and 5-digit serial number and 1 digit for Check Digit, a diploma issued by the PIN application.
“For Odd Semester 2022/2023 graduates who haven’t had time to collect their diplomas and grade transcripts at graduation for one reason or another, there’s no need to worry. Retrieval of diplomas and transcripts is still served by the academic team on the 1st floor of the PAF Building every working day. We hope that graduates can pay attention to health protocols during the process of taking their diplomas,” said Dr. Mrs.
In 2021, FTUI has also launched the PAF Online service (http://paf.eng.ui.ac.id). This technology-based administration service will make it easier for alumni and students to place orders for the legalization of grade transcripts and diplomas virtually and even for delivery, you can also use online services.
