FTUI Enhances International Initiatives in Collaboration with KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Monday (16/10), the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) received a visit from KTH Royal Institute of Technology at the Meeting Room, FTUI Deanery Building.

“We welcome the arrival of KTH Royal Institute of Technology to be able to collaborate with us in this case specifically related to the Department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. We hope this collaboration can produce good cooperation to have a positive impact on each party,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi, M.Eng., Head of the FTUI Education Modernisation and Internationalisation Unit.

In the future, FTUI is planning to increase the number of international programme students. For this reason, FTUI supports study programmes that do not yet have international programmes to immediately open international programmes and look for potential partners. With this visit, the Department of Civil Engineering is interested in exploring cooperation with KTH Royal Institute of Technology in international undergraduate programmes for Environmental Engineering and Masters for Transportation Engineering or Project Management.

The representative from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Prof. Bjorn Berggren, said, “We are very interested in collaborating with FTUI. We have a programme to send our lecturers to join the staff mobility programme and give guest lectures to partner universities. The visit resulted in prospects of collaboration for both parties, namely in running the programme:

  1. Student exchange (drafting AOI and sending to KTH)
  2. Dual degree master programme (1+1) with LPDP Funding
  3. Staff mobility programme

Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU said, “This collaboration is a very important step for FTUI in delivering higher quality and globally relevant education. It is an opportunity to learn from international experts, share knowledge, and create breakthroughs together. Together, we will take FTUI and KTH to the next level in education and research.”
