The Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI) is currently intensifying efforts to expand cooperation in the field of education, especially the Double Degree programme. This time FTUI received the first cooperation visit from Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) (06/11) to explore academic cooperation in this case for the internationalisation of education. CYCU’s initial visit aimed to introduce CYCU, in the fields of research, teaching, International Cooperation programmes, and scholarships owned by CYCU.
“We are very open to receiving cooperation offers from CYCU, especially on the prospect of undergraduate double degree cooperation. Adding new partners is one of our priorities to provide a wider choice of alternatives for FTUI students,” said Prof. Harinaldi, Head of the FTUI Education Modernisation and Internationalisation Unit.
Assoc. Prof. Yang Ta-I, from CYCU expressed his hope, “Today’s meeting is our first step in building close cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, we hope that this collaboration can continue to the next stage and can improve the quality of education and research for both institutions”.
On a separate occasion, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, expressed his enthusiasm for the presence of Chung Yuan Christian University to the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia and hoped that this cooperation can continue to grow, and can continue to further collaboration.
“Cooperation is the main foundation in advancing the quality of education and research in an academic environment. International collaboration is essential in creating a diverse learning environment and broadening academic horizons for students. We are committed to continuing to expand our network of academic partners, such as CYCU, to provide a wider range of alternative options for FTUI students,” said Prof Heri.
