On Friday (05/03), the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) held a meeting with Coventry University to discuss potential collaboration for a Ph.D. Program between the two institutions. The meeting took place in the IO Meeting Room, i-CELL Building, FTUI.
“This meeting is focused on discussing the MoA format for the Cotutelle Dual Award Research Degree Program collaboration between FTUI, especially the Department of Industrial Engineering, and Coventry University. Through this collaboration, we will involve our best students, researchers, and staff to collaborate on various research and innovation projects. Our target is to launch this program in 2025, and we hope that the collaboration process will proceed smoothly in the future,” said Dr. Komarudin, ST., M.Eng., Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, at the beginning of the discussion.
“The Coventry University doctoral program is under a research centre and is multidisciplinary. The Cotutelle Dual Award Research Degree Program is a double Ph.D. degree program, offering students the opportunity to study under a 2+1 scheme, where students will study for 2 years at FTUI and 1 year at Coventry University. In addition, Coventry University also provides scholarships for students who will participate in this program,” explained Prof. Benny Tjahjono, Director of Research Engagement – Indonesia, Coventry University.
FTUI Dean, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., said, “The collaboration between FTUI and Coventry University is expected not only to provide academic benefits but also to broaden the horizons of researchers so that research results have a positive impact on global society. We hope that the cooperation between the two institutions will become even closer so that we can produce outstanding and impactful alumni.”
The FTUI delegation present at this meeting included Dr.rer.pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., Manager of Student Affairs, Research, and Community Service, Dr. Komarudin, ST., M.Eng., Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Dr. Maya Arlini Puspasari, S.T., M.T., MBA., and Danu Hadi Syaifullah, ST., M.Sc., Lecturers from the Department of Industrial Engineering, and Siti Nurandini Winduningtyas, staff from the FTUI International Office.
