On September 18, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), through the ENTERNS UI 2025 program, held a Networking Night at the Interdisciplinary Engineering (IDE) Building, UI Depok Campus. This event marked the culmination of a series of entrepreneurship programs aimed at fostering innovation, collaboration, and leadership among Indonesia’s young generation.
The ENTERNS UI program is built upon four core values: entrepreneurship, which nurtures an entrepreneurial spirit from an early stage; innovation, which encourages the creation of new ideas to address real-world challenges; collaboration, which connects students across disciplines with industry partners; and impact, which emphasizes tangible benefits for society. These four pillars make ENTERNS UI not merely a competition but a learning platform and innovation hub for Indonesia’s youth.
This year, ENTERNS UI featured two main competitions at the heart of the program — the Business Innovation Competition (BIC) and the Business Plan Competition (BPC). Through these competitions, participants were challenged to develop critical, creative, and collaborative thinking skills in crafting innovative and sustainable business ideas.
The Business Innovation Competition (BIC) was open to university students from both national and international institutions, encouraging them to design business ideas rooted in technology and sustainability. More than 300 teams participated this year, including representatives from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Singapore Management University (SMU), as well as students from various faculties at UI and other leading universities. After going through the selection, mentoring, and final presentation stages before a panel of professional judges, participants were evaluated based on idea innovation, business relevance, social impact sustainability, and collaboration and presentation skills.

Meanwhile, the Business Plan Competition (BPC) targeted high school students from across Indonesia, serving as an early learning platform for entrepreneurship. This competition focused on developing practical and solution-oriented business ideas. In 2025, BPC attracted more than 400 teams — totaling over 1,200 participants — from various regions across Indonesia. Through intensive mentoring and a rigorous evaluation process, participants were trained to design structured business models, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and cultivate a spirit of collaboration.
