Health is a valuable asset that must be maintained, one way being through regular medical check-ups (MCU). However, many people still struggle to interpret their examination results. To address this, the Human Resources (HR) Unit of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) organized a session titled “How to Read Medical Check-Up Results” to provide participants with clear and practical guidance on understanding their own medical reports.
The event was held on Friday (August 8) at the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Building, and featured Dr. Trevino Aristarkus Pakasi, M.S., Ph.D., Sp.KKLP, Subsp. FOMC, who shared his expertise and practical tips on correctly interpreting health examination results.
In his presentation, Dr. Trevino explained that regular health check-ups are not only important for early disease detection but also serve as preventive measures to maintain quality of life. He elaborated on how to read medical terminology in examination reports, understand normal reference ranges, and identify potential health risks from laboratory results.
Furthermore, Dr. Trevino emphasized that while self-interpretation can provide an initial overview, participants are strongly encouraged to consult medical professionals for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., stated, “Human resources are a vital asset. There are three aspects we focus on—mental health, physical health, and mindfulness. This activity will be held regularly to ensure that staff and lecturers understand their own MCU results, so we can take anticipatory steps for the future.”
Through this activity, FTUI aims to enhance the community’s understanding of personal health management in line with its efforts to develop human resources who are healthy, resilient, excellent, successful, empowered, and cultured.
