FTUI Holds Townhall Session with the Dean as Part of the Staff Capacity Building Program in Lombok

As part of its Capacity Building activities for educational staff, the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) held a Town Hall Meeting led directly by the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. The session, held in Lombok on July 31, served as an open forum for dialogue between the FTUI leadership and administrative staff from various units and departments.

The townhall marked an important moment in strengthening two-way communication, aligning visions, and fostering synergy between the faculty leadership and all staff members. In a warm and inclusive atmosphere, participants were allowed to express their aspirations, suggestions, and feedback regarding the challenges they face in their daily work.

In his remarks, Prof. Kemas emphasized the crucial role of administrative staff as the backbone of FTUI’s operational and academic services. “We believe that the progress of an institution is determined not only by the quality of its lecturers and students but also by the outstanding contributions of its administrative staff. This townhall serves as a platform to listen directly to their voices and to build a work culture rooted in mutual support,” he stated.

With a spirit of participation and togetherness, the session aimed to enhance staff engagement in realizing FTUI’s vision of becoming a world-class faculty of engineering. The townhall also reflected FTUI’s commitment to open, transparent, and human-centered governance. “We want FTUI to be a workplace that is not only productive but also meaningful and enjoyable. The voices of our staff are an essential part of this institution’s transformation process. Through sessions like this, we continue to foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and collective growth,” Prof. Kemas concluded.

The Capacity Building series in Lombok included not only motivational sessions and training but also activities that strengthened relationships among individuals and work units in a warm and familial atmosphere. This aligns with FTUI’s vision of cultivating an adaptive, supportive, and sustainable work environment.
