The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) held a job analysis meeting on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the DGB Room of the FTUI Dean’s Building. The objective was to review and update the structure of faculty positions within the department. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ajib Setyo Arifin, S.T., M.T., Manager of Human Resources and Facilities, along with the FTUI HR team and department heads.
The meeting focused on discussing new regulations during the transition period related to the functional academic positions of both civil servant and non-civil servant lecturers. Key points emphasized were:
1. Lecturers must meet the Lecturer Workload (BKD) for four consecutive semesters.
2. For civil servants, the minimum rank requirements are:
– III/b for promotion to Lecturer
– III/d for promotion to Senior Lecturer
– IV/e for promotion to Professor
3. For promotion to Professor, a minimum of 10 years from the initial functional position start date (TMT) is required.
4. There is no longer a mechanism for skipping ranks.
In the job analysis process, department heads and the HR team play a crucial role in preparing necessary documents, such as workload analysis, job descriptions, and job maps. This is to ensure that each lecturer holds a position that aligns with their field of expertise.
Dr. Ajib Setyo Arifin, S.T., M.T., Manager of Human Resources and Facilities, stated that job analysis is a crucial step to ensure that FTUI lecturers possess the qualifications and competencies relevant to their fields. “This job analysis also helps us in formulating career development strategies for lecturers at FTUI.”
“The submission period for the first transition phase is ongoing and will close on June 10. We hope each department will promptly send the required documents to the UI HR Directorate. If not possible, documents can be submitted during the second period, no later than August 10, 2024,” added Dr. Ajib.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., Dean of FTUI, added, “The FTUI job analysis meeting is a significant step towards enhancing the career quality of faculty members. With clear and systematic guidelines, it is expected that FTUI lecturers can achieve higher career levels and optimally contribute to the development of engineering education in Indonesia.”
