FTUI welcomed a visit from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) on June 14, 2024. The purpose of MLIT’s visit was to discuss plans for the Construction Technology Seminar for Connecting University Research and Japanese Construction Companies, as well as an employment seminar for students.
“Welcome to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism of Japan at FTUI. We are very pleased with this visit. Previously, we have organized seminars with students and research seminars. Therefore, we are interested in collaborating again to hold similar events,” said Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Manager of Cooperation, Ventures, and Alumni FTUI, in his opening remarks.
Two years ago, MLIT held a job fair for students and a seminar on technology developed in Japan by FTUI lecturers. These activities were warmly received and generated tremendous enthusiasm from FTUI’s skilled human resources. This prompted MLIT to organize similar events again in 2024.
In addition to the job fair, MLIT plans to hold a webinar seminar in September this year. Meanwhile, the venue for the job fair will be discussed further. MLIT will invite several universities and institutions from various countries to attend the webinar seminar, both as participants and speakers.
Ikue Takahara, Director for Overseas Business at MLIT, stated, “We request FTUI’s cooperation in publicizing the job fair and webinar seminar. We hope this can strengthen the relationship between MLIT and FTUI so that we can engage in further collaborations in the future.”
“FTUI fully supports the job fair and webinar seminar plans proposed by MLIT. We will assist as much as possible in making this event a success. Hopefully, the job fair and webinar seminar will run smoothly,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., Dean of FTUI.
