FTUI Holds Technopreneur Spark: Unpacking “Start-Up Hacks with Zero Cash”

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), through its Career Development Center, once again hosted an inspiring program titled Technopreneur Spark, carrying the theme Start-Up Hacks with Zero Cash.” The event took place at the FTUI Smart Meeting Room on May 27, featuring two inspiring speakers: Radium Ikono (CEO & Founder of Schoters) and Ferie Budiansyah (Mentor at UI Incubate).

The session explored various strategies for building and developing a startup with limited capital, including how to maximize digital resources, build a strong team, and seek investors and business incubators. Both speakers shared their firsthand experiences navigating the world of tech-based entrepreneurship.

“Starting a startup doesn’t always require large capital. What matters most is how we optimize existing technologies, build a cohesive team, and proactively seek funding opportunities. Often, innovative ideas are born from limitations,” said Radyum Ikono, CEO & Founder of Schoters.

Held from 3:30 to 5:30 PM (WIB), the event not only provided practical insights but also offered an interactive atmosphere through an enthusiastic Q&A session. Participants received several benefits, including e-certificates, complimentary snacks, and the opportunity to win exciting door prizes for their active participation.

“Programs like Technopreneur Spark serve as strategic platforms for FTUI students to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurial courage. Through real-world experiences shared by startup practitioners, students not only learn theories but also gain a deeper understanding of the realities of building a business from the ground up. We hope this initiative will foster a resilient and adaptive technopreneurial spirit in the digital era,” said Dr. Muhamad Sahlan, S.Si., M.Eng., FTUI Manager of Partnerships, Ventures, and Entrepreneurship.

With a strong spirit of entrepreneurship and technology, Technopreneur Spark represents FTUI’s ongoing effort to nurture a startup ecosystem among students and to prepare a competitive young generation for the digital age.
