The event began with remarks from Prof. Josaphat:
“We are grateful for FTUI’s willingness to host the Global Network Project office as the ASEAN Regional Office. Through this program, we hope to send more students to pursue their studies in Japan.”
Representing FTUI, Dalhar Susanto shared his remarks:
“Regarding the collaboration between Chiba University and FTUI, we have built partnerships in research, particularly with Prof. Josaphat, and a Double Degree Program for Master’s students. Currently, we also have a PhD candidate supervised by Prof. Josaphat. We plan to increase the number of our students studying in Japan.”
Key activities of this initiative include recruiting students from ASEAN, disseminating information about Study in Japan, and developing networks with alumni associations of Japanese universities to strengthen collaborations.
During the meeting, discussions were held on collaboration opportunities between FTUI, Chiba University, and Okayama University. These opportunities include presentation sessions to promote programs to students, the ENGINE Program by Chiba University to enhance student mobility through short programs, faculty member collaborations, and other potential partnerships.
Representatives from FTUI, Chiba University, and Okayama University attended the event. FTUI representatives included Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Manager of Cooperation, Ventures, and Alumni; Tikka Anggraeni, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., Manager of Public Communication and General Administration; Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., DIC., Head of the International Office; Dr. Abdul Halim, M.Eng., Secretary of the Department of Electrical Engineering; Dr. Basari, S.T., M.Eng., Head of the Biomedical Engineering Study Program; Dr. Ir. Dodi Sudiana, M.Eng., Head of the Optics and Remote Sensing Laboratory (OPRES); and Prof. Dr. Ir. Anak Agung Putri Ratna, M.Eng., Professor of Electrical Engineering.
Representatives from Chiba University included Koji TATEISHI, Director for International Affairs; Kaori TSUKADA, Senior Specialist, International Affairs Division; and Professor Josaphat Tetuko Sri Sumantyo, Ph.D., from the Department of Electrical Engineering/Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS), Chiba University. Representatives from Okayama University included Megumi TAMURA, Director, International Affairs Division; Yusuke NII, Senior Expert Staff, International Affairs Division; and Kaori YAJIMA, Study in Japan Coordinator (Indonesia), Global Network Project to Promote Study in Japan (Jakarta Office).
