FTUI Graduates 1,655 Students at the UI Graduation Ceremony for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year

Universitas Indonesia (UI) once again held its in-person graduation ceremony for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The commencement ceremony took place over three days at the Balairung Hall, UI Campus, Depok, with the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) scheduled for the graduation day on August 12, 2025.

During this period, FTUI graduated a total of 1,655 students across various academic levels. The Undergraduate Regular Program produced 678 graduates, the Parallel Program had 202 graduates, and the International Undergraduate Program (KKI) graduated 117 students. At the postgraduate level, 510 students completed the Master’s Program, 32 students completed the Doctoral Program, and 116 students graduated from the Professional Program.

In his address, the Rector of UI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, expressed his profound appreciation to all graduates and their parents.

“It is through the great dedication of parents that our graduates have successfully completed their academic journey at this campus of perseverance. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all graduates for their unwavering dedication, tireless effort, and unyielding spirit in pursuing their dreams. Welcome to the extended family of UI alumni — a community of excellence and impact for Indonesia. You should be proud, as the success rate for admission to UI is only about 1–3%. This number signifies that you are among Indonesia’s most outstanding individuals. It is a true testament to the quality of Universitas Indonesia,” said the Rector.

The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., also delivered a special message to the graduates.

“This graduation is not the end of your journey, but rather the beginning of your real contribution to society. We hope that FTUI graduates will become engineers, academics, researchers, and leaders who uphold integrity, innovation, and sustainability in every endeavor. In the same spirit, the Faculty of Engineering reaffirms its commitment to implementing the Integrity Zone towards a Corruption-Free Area (WBK), one of which is through the Dean’s Circular Letter policy prohibiting the provision of food and beverages during proposal seminars and final examinations for Undergraduate, Professional, Master’s, and Doctoral students. This policy represents the faculty’s effort to build clean and accountable governance. With the competencies and networks you have developed at FTUI, we believe you will make meaningful contributions to the nation and address increasingly complex global challenges,” emphasized Prof. Kemas.

Through the conferment of these graduates, FTUI reaffirms its commitment to producing future generations of the nation who are excellent, competitive, and actively contribute to sustainable development. The presence of 1,655 new graduates from FTUI is expected to bring renewed energy and strengthen Universitas Indonesia’s contribution to developing high-quality human resources for Indonesia and the world.
