FTUI Mechanical Engineering Department Strengthens Research Collaboration with Sunway University

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (DTM FTUI) received a visit from Sunway University as a form of strengthening the research partnership between DTM FTUI and Sunway University. The visit took place in the Meeting Room of the i-Cell Building Floor 1 FTUI (21/06/23). Sunway University Malaysia was represented by Prof. Mohammad Khalid and was welcomed by the DTM FTUI, namely Prof. Dr-Ing. Ir. Nasruddin, M. Eng., as well as several DTM DTM FTUI students.

Prof. Dr-Ing. Ir. Nasruddin, M. Eng., through his remarks said, “Prof. Mohammad Khalid from Sunway University has become very important to DTM. Through this meeting, several potential research projects will be discussed which will certainly encourage academic collaboration. Several things will be discussed further, namely the potential for research partnerships that can be carried out, collaborative publications, and student exchange opportunities.”

In a separate place, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU said, “FTUI has qualified facilities and human resources, including lecturers, researchers and students. These qualified human resources are ready to collaborate in research with Sunway University to develop research that is beneficial to society.”

Prof. Mohammad Khalid presented information about Sunway University, especially regarding research projects from this university from Malaysia, one of which was research related to Mxene. The discussion of this research also involved the students who were present. They describe the research they are currently doing.

The student, namely Bianca Natasha (DTM 2019) explained the Life Cycle Assessment for Synthesis of Bio-Zinc-Glutamate Metal-Organic Framework for Post Combustion Carbon Capture (PCC) Application, Faqih Hanif (DTM Doctoral Program) explained about Molecular Dynamic Simulation of C02, Adsorption in Bio-Metal Organic Frameworks Cobalt Glumate, Rizky Ruliandini (DTM Doctoral Program) explained about Molecular Dynamics Simulations in Nanofluid, and Agustine Zulys (DTM Doctoral Program) explained about Metal-Organic Framework: Synthesis and Functionalization.
