FTUI Once Again Expands Collaboration with Uni-KL Malaysia

Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Uni-KL) paid a visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) to strengthen cooperation in education and research, last Tuesday (16/05/23). There was also an agenda for this visit, namely a discussion of Research Collaboration-International Grant Application, Matching Grant, Join Supervision, Join Award (Dual Award) Through Cotutelle Postgraduate, Program, Visiting Professor between Uni-KL and UI, Joint Publication, Mobility of Lectures, and Co-Hosting International Conference for 2024.

This time the visit took place in the Leadership Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of the FTUI Dean’s Building. The Uni-KL party was represented by the Dean of the Uni-KL Institute of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Naim Yahaya, Deputy Dean of Uni-KL, AP Dr. Norzahir Sapawe. The Uni-KL party was welcomed by the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., Head of Modirpen Unit, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harinaldi, M.Eng., Secretary of the Modirpen Unit, Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. DIC., accompanied by several other FTUI management, Manager of Student Affairs, Research, and Community Service, Dr.rer.pol. Romadhani Ardi, S.T., M.T., and Cooperation Manager, Ventura and Alumni, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto.

In the discussion agenda that took place, FTUI and Uni-KL agreed to focus more on strengthening concrete cooperation in the form of scholarship programs for postgraduates. This scholarship program will later be adjusted to field research related to each student’s specialization cluster.

“With this collaboration program, it is hoped that it will have a positive impact on FTUI and Uni-KL. It is also a good step for FTUI because it continues to expand its wings in terms of strengthening cooperation in education and research with universities in the Southeast Asian region. With cooperation in the form of collaborative scholarship programs, this is a form of concrete cooperation between FTUI and Uni-KL,” said Prof. Yanuar.

Met on a separate occasion, the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU said, “The collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Uni-KL) in Malaysia has tremendous potential benefits for both institutions and educational actors in both countries. Through this collaboration, we can enrich each other’s knowledge and experience in the field of engineering. Lecturers and students from FTUI and Uni-KL will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate in research, teaching and curriculum development.”

Both FTUI and Uni-KL have the same hope to realize this collaboration as well as possible. After this visit, there will be subsequent discussions to plan in detail regarding the form of cooperation in the form of this collaborative scholarship program.
