FTUI is a faculty that supports technological advancements, especially technologies that can enhance effective teaching. Therefore, FTUI collaborates with various companies to introduce smart classrooms. As a result, half of the 70 existing classrooms have now transformed into smart classrooms. The openness to cooperation with external parties is still ongoing to increase the number of smart classrooms at FTUI, which is expected to be fulfilled by the end of 2025.
Most recently, on February 20, 2024, FTUI conducted a handover ceremony for the donation of a BenQ Interactive Flat Panel installed in Room S604, Building S, FTUI. This smart board is a gift from Andryanto C. Wijaya, an alumnus of Electrical Engineering FTUI from the ’89 class, currently serving as the President Director of PT. BenQ Technology Indonesia. In addition to facilitating the teaching process, the BenQ Interactive Flat Panel also has the advantage of being eye-friendly.
“This event is quite strategic and marks an important milestone in the relationship between FTUI, alumni, and PT BenQ Technology Indonesia. We are proud to receive a unit of BenQ Interactive Flat Panel. I express my gratitude to Andryanto Wijaya for his contribution. Hopefully, this donation will be beneficial in the teaching activities at FTUI,” said the Vice Dean for Resources, Venture, and General Administration, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., in his speech.
As the donor, Andryanto stated, “I would like to thank FTUI for providing me with a lot of knowledge, not only academically but also in business. What I gained as a student can now be implemented professionally. Through this, I hope a collaboration between BenQ and FTUI will be formed. I hope this donation can set an example, and together we can create a smart classroom in the name of BenQ.”
