On Monday (25/3), the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), received a visit from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia at the Senate Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Office Building. The purpose of this visit was to discuss exploring a type II joint venture cooperation with Universitas Indonesia (UI).
“We from the Ministry of Industry want to understand how the type II joint venture cooperation projects at UI are going. We also want to know the extent of data or research related to the jobs we will propose,” said Ceci Hani Handayani, Chairperson of the Non-Metallic Mineral Downstreaming Task Force and Functional Official for Industry Development at the Ministry of Industry, opening the meeting.
The job packages mentioned by Ceci Hani Handayani include:
- Review and Finalization of the Roadmap for Silica Downstreaming to Support the Manufacturing Ecosystem of PV Module and Semiconductor Industries
- Preparation of the Roadmap for Graphite Downstreaming as a Raw Material for Electric Vehicle (EV) Battery Anodes
- Preparation of the National Roadmap for the Development of Zircon, Ilmenite, and Their Derivative Products Processing Industries
- Preparation of a Study on the Development of Pure Asbuton Extraction Technology and Economic Analysis
- Preparation of the Industry Tree and Bill of Materials for the Cement, Ceramic, and Non-Metallic Mineral Processing Sectors
- Preparation of the National Ceramic Industry Roadmap towards the Top Five Ceramic Tile Producers in the World by 2025-2035
“At FTUI, we have 7 Special Units for Community Service and Development (UKK P2M). These seven units are ready to provide consultancy services to various parties for assessments, research, training, testing, and audits. We can assist in preparing all the job packages presented by the Ministry of Industry,” explained Dr.-Ing. Dalhar Susanto, Manager of Cooperation, Ventures, and Alumni at FTUI.
“For several job packages that I observed earlier, many of them we can assist with. Especially from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering field, we happen to have experts related to materials such as Zircon, Metals, Ceramics, and other minerals,” clarified Dr.-Ing Reza Miftahul Ulum, ST, M.T., Head of the CMPFA UKKPPM.
“We feel honoured to be given this opportunity; substantively, we can serve, and administratively, we are also ready because we have experience with various types of type II joint venture models. We are ready to receive good news from the Ministry of Industry for the follow-up,” said Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU.
The FTUI delegation present at the meeting included Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, Manager of Cooperation, Ventures, and Alumni; Rosmalita, Coordinator of CDC FTUI; Dr. Ir. Elly Tjahjono Sutiono, DEA, Head of the UP2M Civil and Environmental Engineering UKK; Silvanus Nohan Rudrokasworo, S.T, M.T., Representative of the UP2M Civil and Environmental Engineering UKK; Dr.-Ing Reza Miftahul Ulum, ST, M.T., Head of the CMPFA UKKPPM; Riezqa Andika, ST, Ph.D., Head of the Chemical Engineering UKK UPPM; and Najma, ST, MT, Manager of Training at UPPM DTK FTUI.
Meanwhile, the delegation from the Ministry of Industry included Ceci Hani Handayani (Chairperson of the Non-Metallic Mineral Downstreaming Task Force; Functional Official for Industry Development), Novriadi Tri Kurnianto (Technical Policy Reviewer), Anita Sulistyani (Technical Policy Reviewer), Mutia Dinda Pratiwi (Technical Policy Reviewer), Mayzaki Dwi Putra (Technical Policy Reviewer), Ferranda Yonny Saputri (Technical Policy Reviewer), and Indrayana Pratama (Technical Policy Reviewer).
