The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing an Integrity Zone (ZI) in pursuit of achieving the status of a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM). One strategic step taken is the establishment of five leading teams under Lever 5: Strengthening Oversight, which was officially launched through a coordination meeting on Monday (June 2).
The five teams were formed based on the Dean’s Decrees of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, 2024, as follows:
- Gratification Control Team based on Decree No. 1519/SK/D/FTUI/2024
- Public Complaint Handling Team based on Decree No. 1534/SK/D/FTUI/2024
- Government Internal Control System (SPIP) Task Force based on Decree No. 1536/SK/D/FTUI/2024
- Whistle Blowing System (WBS) Handling Team based on Decree No. 1609/SK/D/FTUI/2024
- Conflict of Interest (COI) Handling Team based on Decree No. 1610/SK/D/FTUI/2024
These five teams play a crucial role in promoting clean, accountable, and deviation-free organizational governance. Their responsibilities include handling reports of complaints, gratuities, and potential conflicts of interest, as well as raising awareness about the importance of an integrity-based work culture across the academic community.
Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized that the establishment of these teams is part of FTUI’s collective effort to create a transparent and professional work environment. “This is a concrete step by FTUI to foster positive change and build public trust in higher education institutions,” he stated.
With the formation of these teams and the full support of all faculty elements, FTUI is optimistic about achieving WBK/WBBM status in 2025 and becoming a national role model in implementing the Integrity Zone within higher education institutions.
