Opening the event, Prof. Dr. Ir. Winarto, M.Sc., Head of the Academic Quality Assurance Unit, stated, “This internal audit is a crucial step to ensure that we are not only meeting established standards but are also committed to continuously innovating and improving the quality of every aspect of our operations. Through this process, we can identify areas that need improvement and ensure that FTUI remains on the right track in achieving its academic and operational quality goals.”
Over three days, auditors reviewed various operational and management aspects. The process included initial reporting, followed by the drafting and submission of audit reports to the relevant units. All findings from this audit will serve as the basis for drafting recommendations and concrete corrective actions, which will be further discussed during the management review meeting.
Following the internal audit, FTUI will hold a Management Review Meeting on Friday, October 11, 2024. This meeting will be attended by all faculty leaders, unit heads, internal auditors, and representatives from study programs. The main focus of the meeting will be to review audit findings, assess performance achievements over the past year, and ensure that quality standards are maintained. In addition, the meeting will also address issues that may potentially impact campus operations and governance.
“The recommendations from this internal audit are crucial for FTUI to continuously improve existing systems. All findings from this meeting are expected to be implemented effectively in the relevant departments/units, and every member of the FTUI academic community is encouraged to actively contribute to maintaining the established standards,” said Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, Dean of FTUI, in response to the internal audit week.
The internal audit week also serves as preparation for the upcoming external audit, aimed at maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications. These certifications demonstrate FTUI’s commitment to academic quality, environmental sustainability, and workplace safety within the campus.
