28 students of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, visited the Head Office of PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, located in South Jakarta (21/08). This activity is a continuation of the FTUI Entrepreneurship Camp program, which has the theme Innovation into Invention (i3) as well as the opening of the Engineering Entrepreneurship, Career and Internship Fair (ECIF) which will be held in September.
The participants were welcomed by Kayla Ashilla from Employer Branding PT Paragon Technology and Innovation and her team. The first activity carried out was an explanation of the vision, mission, and also the innovations carried out by Paragon over the past few years. In addition, participants also had the opportunity to have an office tour and see all the directorate sections in Paragon.
The companion of the students, Dr. Ir. Tomy Abuzairi, S.T., M.Sc., M.T. said, “The existence of teamwork, openness to new ideas, and the desire to progress are some of the things that can be taken from Paragon’s success that can also be applied to i3 participants. With similar activities, FTUI is expected to continue to provide support to young entrepreneurs who want to develop their business.”
Met elsewhere, Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU said, “The visit of FTUI students to PT Paragon Technology and Innovation is an important step in understanding the innovation process in the industrial world. This experience will provide valuable insights for students regarding the real application of the concept of innovation and cooperation between academia and industry. We hope this experience will motivate students to continue to be creative and contribute to the development of technology and innovation in the future.”
In addition, this activity is also a form of good relations between PT Paragon Technology and Innovation and the Faculty of Engineering UI. This activity is also one of Paragon’s support to support the tri dharma of higher education.
