Increasing collaboration through cooperation with industrial partners in terms of education and research is a commitment of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Universitas Indonesia (UI). FTUI as the Best Engineering Campus in Indonesia is always committed to improving the delivery of high-quality engineering education. Of course, this will not be realized without the support and synergy of collaborative partners.
To solidify this collaboration, FTUI signed a cooperation agreement with PT PLN Indonesia Power. The agreement was signed between the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU. and Rizqi Priatna, Senior Manager of PT PLN Indonesia Power PLTU West Java 2 Pelabuhan Ratu. In the future, FTUI and PT PLN Indonesia Power will develop renewable energy technology, increase plant reliability and efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and machine learning.
“We believe that this collaboration will provide useful results and have a positive impact on the energy sector in Indonesia. Through the synergy between academics and practitioners, we hope to produce innovative solutions that are relevant to future needs, reduce dependence on conventional energy sources, and contribute to environmental sustainability,” said Prof. Heri during the signing ceremony held in conjunction with FTUI’s Dies (17/7).
“This collaboration is a strategic step and has the potential to have a positive impact on the transformation of the electricity industry. FTUI as a higher education institution has the potential resources to conduct innovative research and development in the field of renewable energy, carbon emission reduction strategies and measures to improve the efficiency of our power plants,” said Rizqi Priatna.
This collaboration reflects the commitment of both institutions to contribute to addressing the energy and environmental challenges faced by Indonesia. It is hoped that in the future, this collaboration will result in significant innovations in the electricity industry and create positive changes in welcoming a sustainable and better energy future for Indonesia.
