Kick-Off Meeting for the Mezzanine Renovation of the Department of Chemical Engineering FTUI

On September 10, 2025, the Infrastructure, Procurement, and Logistics Unit (IPL) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) held a Kick-Off Meeting for the Mezzanine Renovation Project of the Department of Chemical Engineering (DTK) at the Senate Room, FTUI Dean Building. The meeting was attended by Dr. Imam Jauhari Maknun, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Manager of Infrastructure, Procurement, and Logistics; Dr. Bambang Heru Susanto, S.T., M.T., Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering; Eko Anjang Budi Prihantoro, S.Si., FTUI education staff; members of the IPL team; and representatives from the project contractor PT. Hanastha Karya Mandiri, led by its Director Charles Manik and his team.

The meeting discussed the technical aspects of constructing the new mezzanine space on the 5th floor of the Department of Chemical Engineering building. The new area is planned to function as an office space for the Research and Community Engagement Unit (UPPM), IT team, and junior faculty members, with a project duration of three months, running from September 12 to November 27, 2025.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Imam Jauhari Maknun, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Manager of Infrastructure, Procurement, and Logistics, emphasized the importance of strong coordination among all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

“The construction of the mezzanine on the 5th floor of the Department of Chemical Engineering building is a concrete step by FTUI to enhance the quality of academic facilities and services. We hope the entire construction process proceeds according to plan, on schedule, and meets the established quality standards,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bambang Heru Susanto, S.T., M.T., Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, expressed his optimism for a smooth renovation process.
“From the department’s side, we have ensured that all planning aspects are well-prepared. We hope the renovation of this mezzanine space will run smoothly and ultimately support the productivity and comfort of the Department of Chemical Engineering’s academic community in the future,” he remarked.

Full support was also expressed by FTUI Dean, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., who highlighted the importance of this project in strengthening academic activities.
“The construction of this mezzanine is part of FTUI’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure that supports academic and research performance. We believe that with a more representative workspace, collaboration and productivity within the academic community can be further enhanced,” he affirmed.

With the commencement of this renovation project, FTUI reinforces its ongoing commitment to improving facilities and infrastructure in support of academic development, research advancement, and the delivery of high-quality services for students, faculty, and staff.
