The team of assessors from the Independent Accreditation Institute for the Engineering Study Program (LAM-TEKNIK) conducted a field assessment of the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI). The opening of the field assessment was carried out in the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI (19/06).
“FTUI has responded well to this field assessment. Later, this assessment can also be used as material for evaluation and constructive suggestions to continue to improve quality and develop even better FTUI academic governance,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Winarto, M.Sc., Head of UPMA FTUI.
The field assessment conducted by LAM-TEKNIK was carried out as an effort to evaluate an engineering study program in Indonesia. This assessment process includes vision and mission, goals, strategy, governance, governance, cooperation, human resources, finance, facilities and infrastructure, education, research, community service, outcomes and Tri Dharma achievements.
Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M..Eng., IPU., said “The Civil Engineering Department is one of the departments that has the most engagement or educational collaboration programs with partners. His track record is extraordinary, such as a Double Degree Masters’s with the Ministry of Transportation in France, in collaboration with the University of Leeds, UK. This year FTUI is also expanding its internationalization through the Double Degree program, with the University of Birmingham, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, and University of Glasgow.”
Prof. Heri also conveyed the process of modernizing facilities at FTUI, including the existence of learning methods through MOOCs, virtual laboratories, and the development of the Future Engineers Curriculum curriculum. “All the strategies and steps we have taken care to create an FTUI that is Superior and Impactful as well as globally competitive. Of course, we have great hope that the Civil Engineering Doctoral Study Program, which is under the auspices of the FTUI Civil Engineering Department, will get the best results from this entire series of LAM-TECHNIK accreditation assessments,” he said.
