On Tuesday (27/2), Huayou Indonesia conducted a scholarship socialization event for Master’s degree programs at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) in the Smart Meeting Room of the Dean’s Building. The event was attended by students from FTUI and other campuses, including Trisakti University, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Pancasila University, and Sriwijaya State Polytechnic. Representatives from FTUI were also present, including the Vice Dean for Resources, Venture, and General Administration, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Cooperation Manager, Venture, and Alumni, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, representatives from Huayou Indonesia who provided a presentation on the company and the scholarship scheme, Director of External Affairs at Huayou Indonesia, Stevanus, and Stefanny Lie.
Opening the event, Prof. Mahmud delivered his remarks, “The collaboration between CDC FTUI and Huayou Indonesia is a tangible example of synergy between the education and industry worlds that can create extraordinary opportunities for the future generation. This scholarship program not only provides access to quality education abroad but also opens doors to internships and exciting career opportunities in the industry.”
Stevanus began the presentation by explaining about Huayou. “Huayou Indonesia is part of the industrial integration and international operations of Huayou, with its headquarters located in Jakarta. Relying on product leadership and guided by green and low-carbon development, Huayou Indonesia is committed to the green development of nickel resources, green industrial zone development, and related construction projects, striving to provide robust raw material support for the renewable energy electric vehicle cathode material industry,” Stevanus explained.
In her presentation, Stefanny Lie explained the various benefits of the scholarships offered by Huayou Indonesia. These include tuition and dormitory fees waived for the entire 3-year study period, health insurance, stipend, and direct employment opportunities after graduation. The university collaborating with Huayou Indonesia for this Master’s in Metallurgical Engineering scholarship program is Northeastern University.
“We are currently at a crucial turning point in the development of the industry in Indonesia, and the demand for engineering experts is increasing. Through initiatives like this, we can ensure that we have the best cadres ready to face challenges and innovate in the future,” expressed Dean FTUI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU.
