The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, on Tuesday (22/11) held an FTUI Achievement Celebration event. Also attending the event was the Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., Chair and Secretary of the FTUI Faculty Academic Senate, Chair and Secretary of the FTUI Professors Council, along with the FTUI leadership. Apart from the FTUI Achievement Celebration, at the event FTUI also carried out the Signing of Cooperation between FTUI and PT Inspiry Indonesia Consultants and the Inauguration of the JICA Smart Classroom.
The FTUI Achievement Celebration was held as a celebration of the achievements FTUI had made in the last 11 months. One of the highlights of this achievement is that the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, was awarded the Best Engineering Campus in Indonesia based on the Times Higher Education World University Ranking. Apart from that, another proud achievement is the achievement of UI Main Achievement Students by UI Faculty of Engineering students, awards to FTUI lecturers and researchers such as Prof. Riri Fitri Sari from the FTUI Electrical Engineering Department who won the 2022 Habibie Prize in Engineering and many more.
“This is the first time that the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, has been reported by a ranking agency, Times Higher Education, as the best engineering school in Indonesia. Of course this is a great achievement. secondly, UI Engineering Faculty students have become outstanding students at Universitas Indonesia after 30 years, and the latest achievement is that FTUI has so far collaborated with more than 50 countries with hundreds of universities,” said Prof. Heri.
As an expression of gratitude and gratitude for all the support and work of various elements of the FTUI extended family, the Dean of FTUI cut a rice cone. The tumpeng pieces were then handed over to the Head of the Faculty Academic Senate, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D. and Chairman of the Faculty Professors Council, Prof. Ir. Yulianto Sulistyo Nugroho, M.Sc., Ph.D. representing the entire FTUI academic community.
In his remarks, the Dean of FTUI apart from expressing his appreciation and gratitude to all FTUI academics for their accomplishments and achievements, he also expressed his condolences for the earthquake disaster that occurred in Cianjur and information related to donations to residents affected by the disaster.
“FTUI is sorry for the disaster that is currently being experienced by our brothers and sisters in Cianjur. We share their pain and loss. Currently FTUI is carrying out intense coordination between management, students, lecturers and alumni regarding donations which we will raise and deliver directly to the affected residents. We also invite all elements of society to make donations through FTUI. InshaAllah, next week the FTUI team will immediately go down to Cianjur to deliver donations to those who are eligible,” said Prof. Harry.
Signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between FTUI and PT Inspiry Indonesia Consultants regarding the Development of Cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia and Industrial Partners. Based on the results of discussions between FTUI and PT. Inspiry, there are 60 superior products, created by FTUI inventors that will open opportunities for collaboration with manufacturing partners and medical device distributors in Indonesia.
The event ended with the signing of the minutes of handing over of the JICA Smart Classroom. JICA’s smart classroom is the 11th smart classroom of FTUI, complementing the 8 donated smart classrooms by Kapal Api which was inaugurated in 2019 and the 2 smart classrooms donated by Paragon which were inaugurated in early 2022. The commitment to procuring a smart classroom was first conveyed by JICA at the anniversary moment The 58th FTUI on July 17, 2022.
Also present at the November Rain celebration, President Commissioner of PT Inspiry Indonesia Konsultan, Asrul Sani Gunawan, President Director of PT Inspiry Indonesia Konsultan, Hartanto, S.E., M.M., representatives from PT Karya Medis Nusantara, PT Inovasi Medik Indonesia, PT Cobra Dental, PT Muara Sakti Utama, PT ESHBI Putra Indonesia, and PT Vijaya Gemilang Lestari and the Inauguration of the JICA Smart Classroom which was attended by JICA Senior Advisor, Hiroyuki, JICA Expert, Ryotaro Takano, JICA Indonesia Senior Representative, Honzu Shigeo, and JICA Indonesia Representative, Nakajima Tsuyoshi.
