International Career Opportunities, FTUI Collaborates with GSL Dubai to Open Management Trainee Program

Career opportunities on the international stage are now increasingly open to students and graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI). On Tuesday (20/8), FTUI welcomed a visit from Global Shipping & Logistics (GSL), a leading 3rd logistics (3PL) company based in Dubai, to explore cooperation in the Campus to Career Management Trainee program. The meeting took place in the Senate Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Office Building.

The Campus to Career Management Trainee program is designed to provide FTUI graduates and postgraduate students with the opportunity to participate in intensive training in Dubai, receive direct guidance from industry professionals, and gain real work experience in a multicultural environment. This program not only provides access to global knowledge in the field of logistics and supply chain, but also strengthens the competitiveness of Indonesia’s young generation on the international stage.

During this visit, Gurumurthi Shankar, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GSL, expressed his appreciation for the quality of FTUI students. “We see that FTUI students and graduates have excellent academic qualities and a strong work ethic. This is what makes us interested in establishing a recruitment partnership with FTUI because we believe that their talents can contribute significantly in an international work environment,” said Shankar.

The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., welcomed this collaboration. “FTUI welcomes international recruitment programs such as those carried out by GSL. This opportunity not only paves the way for our students and graduates to pursue careers on the global stage, but also strengthens FTUI’s role in producing excellent human resources who are ready to compete internationally,” explained Prof. Kemas.

Through this collaboration, FTUI is committed to continuing to support its students and graduates in gaining global experience, building international networks, and increasing the nation’s competitiveness in the field of logistics and supply chain.
