FTUI Posyandu Batch 2: A Healthy and Energizing Space for the Academic Community

Maximum productivity can only be achieved when both positive energy and physical as well as mental health are well maintained. Inspired by this principle, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI) once again held Posyandu Batch 2, an integrated health program designed as a space for reflection, education, and health screening for the academic community. Carrying the theme “Thriving Amid Campus Dynamics”, the event took place on Friday (26/9) at the Smart Meeting Room, FTUI Dean’s Office.

This program is a follow-up to the results of the Medical Check-Up (MCU) conducted earlier, aiming to map employees’ health conditions while raising awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention.

Posyandu Batch 2 featured clinical psychologists Dyah Larasati, S.Psi., S.E., M.Psi. and Ika Malika, M.Psi., who delivered insightful sessions on stress management, mental health in academia, and strategies for maintaining work-life balance. Participants were also guided through mental health self-assessments, recognizing early signs of burnout, and learning practical techniques such as mindfulness, breathing exercises, and sleep hygiene to maintain physical and mental vitality.

In addition to the educational sessions, the event also offered a Mini Medical Check-Up (Mini MCU) in collaboration with Alia Hospital Depok, which included examinations for blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, and blood pressure. This service was designed to facilitate regular health monitoring for FTUI staff and faculty.

The Dean of FTUI, Prof. Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., stated, “We believe that academic and professional success cannot be separated from the well-being of our academic community. Through programs like this Posyandu, FTUI strives to create a healthy working and learning environment while fostering a culture of wellness among lecturers, staff, and students.”

The Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Dalhar Susanto, added, “We hope that the Faculty of Engineering will continue to regularly and consistently provide support for all of us to maintain our health—spiritually, physically, and mentally.”

Through the implementation of Posyandu Batch 2, FTUI reaffirms its commitment to fostering a healthy, productive, and supportive work environment for all members of its community. More than just a health initiative, this program serves as a meaningful step for FTUI’s academic community to continue thriving amid campus dynamics—with positive energy, collaborative spirit, and enduring resilience.
